Liv.52 DS simply ensures optimum liver function. It helps regulate levels of enzymes and optimizes assimilation. Liv.52 DS has also been found to be associated with an increase in serum albumin, which is another indication of the liver protection it provides. Recent work shows that Liv.52 DS has a cholesterol-regulating action. Clinically, it helps maintain healthy levels of serum cholesterol, lipoproteins, phospholipids and triglycerides.
How to use
Use Liv.52 as directed by your doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions.
- Take Liv.52 by mouth at least 30 minutes before or 2 hours after eating.
- Do not eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice while you take Liv.52.
- The effects of Liv.52 are not immediate. Although you may experience the benefits of Liv.52 2 to 4 weeks after beginning treatment, treatment for up to 12 weeks may be necessary before Liv.52 takes effect.
Drug Class and Mechanism
Liv.52 DS restores the functional efficiency of the liver by protecting the hepatic parenchyma and promoting hepatocellular regeneration. The antiperoxidative activity of Liv.52 DS prevents the loss of functional integrity of the cell membrane, maintains cytochrome P-450, hastens the recovery period and ensures early restoration of hepatic functions in infective hepatitis.
Missed Dose
If you miss a dose of this medicine and you are using it regularly, take it as soon as possible. If you do not remember until later, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.
Storage
Store at the room temperature away from moisture and sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
